Professional Development

 

 

First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) Service Branch works with clients, community stakeholders, school authorities and education partners on all matters related to FNMI education and culture, and assists with comprehensive implementation services in Alberta's schools.  FNMI Services Branch provides leadership and support to implement the FNMI Education Policy Framework by working with:  

 

  • Alberta Regional Consortia to plan and offer regional workshops, FNMI education conferences and the annual Learning Together for Success Conference;  and
  • promising practices for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Education through the province wide sharing of Case Studies.
FNMI Services Branch educates to meet the needs of FNMI learners, recognize and increase parental involvement and promote a greater appreciation and understanding by all Albertan of FNMI peoples.
